Having practically disappeared from the covers and pages of fashion publications during the twentieth century, fashion illustration has been enjoying a renaissance in the digital age thanks to the skills of a young, tech savvy generation of illustrators. SHOWstudio has been right behind this, supporting the best young talent on the scene now. As part of our award winning collections coverage, we commissioned seven young artists to interpret the latest designs on the catwalks and they have now been made available to buy exclusively from SHOWstudio Shop. — Fashion Illustration — Autumn/Winter 2013 Helen Bullock Drawing heavily on her background as a textiles designer, Helen Bullock's style is defined by confident colour-blocking and spontaneous linework. Bullock's illustrations are emboldened by their sense of freedom and capture the diverse and dynamic spirit of the London A/W 13 menswear shows. — Fashion Illustration — Spring/Summer 2013 Tara Dougans Tara Dougans captured the mood of the S/S 13 haute couture collections in a series of beautifully rendered drawings that were digitally manipulated into animated GIFs. Reinterpreting looks from Chanel, Dior, Valentino, Giambattista Valli and Elie Saab, Dougans created illustrations which embody all the detail and delicacies so associated with couture. Dougans also features in our current exhibition at 19 Motcomb Street. — Fashion Illustration — Autumn/Winter 2013 Fiona Gourlay Fiona Gourlay is a London-based illustrator whose confident line drawing is often complimented by the use of unconventional materials such as branches, dead flowers and gold leaf. This enlivens her drawings and lends her coverage of the Milan womenswear A/W 13 collections a unique textural and tactile dimension.  — Fashion Illustration — Autumn/Winter 2013 Amelie Hegardt Swedish artist Amelie Hegardt has a highly unique, interpretative approach to illustrations that focus on the ambience and mood of a collection. Her personalised representations of the London womenswear A/W 13 shows blend both figurative and abstract elements, offering an alternative perspective to the polished views of the catwalk. — Fashion Illustration — Autumn/Winter 2013 Jowy Maasdamme Jowy Maasdamme was charged with covering London Fashion Week A/W 13. Primarily created in a monochromatic pallet, her meticulous ink and pencil works on paper explore the fantasy of fashion in her own dark and distinctive aesthetic.  — Fashion Illustration — Spring/Summer 2013 Rei Nadal For S/S 13, emerging Spanish artist Rei Nadal visited the most anticipated shows in London, New York, Paris and Milan. Initially sketched on an iPad live from the catwalk, the pieces were then re-created in traditional illustration markers and pen. The young artist's unique style is characterised by elongated figures decorated with highly detailed renditions of the collections.
