The Photography of Punk
SHOWstudio Shops's latest exhibition, 'The Photography of Punk', opened this week at our Motcomb Street gallery. The show traces the images and objects that defined the punk aesthetic and honed its legacy. Highlights include Jon Savage's 'Uninhabited London', a series of photographs depicting derelict west London in the late 1970's, and an original drawing by Jim French, the artist responsible for the notorious nude cowboys image that came to adorn Seditionaries t-shirts. The exhibition runs through until 15 November and is open Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 18:00 BST.

Live Panel Discussions
The womenswear S/S 14 fashion weeks have begun, which means SHOWstudio's live panel discussions are back! Our visiting experts – who will unpick the shows live on camera – include The Independent's Alex Fury, freelance writer Katie Baron, Stylist's Alexandra Fullerton as well as a host of other fashion doyens. The panels will begin with a discussion on Jason Wu on 6 September at 18:00 BST. Keep an eye on our Collections page to stay updated.

SHOWstudio teamed up with Roksanda Ilincic to digitally realise a new virtual home for Barbie. Inspired by London's contemporary style, Ilincic's vision for the iconic doll's updated Dreamhouse is dark and dystopian. Check out the new look now.

— Coco Chanel: A New Portrait
Amy de la Haye
To mark the opening of Amy de la Haye's new exhibition, 'Coco Chanel: A new Portrait by Marion Pike, Paris 1967 – 1971', SHOWstudio invited the curator over to discuss the secret new Chanel archive she unearthed, which included breath-taking portraits, personal correspondence and photographs, all kept by the family of artist Marion Pike.

On 10 and 11 December 2001, nine top models arrived at The Metropolitan Hotel to participate in the first ever global, live fashion shoot. The girls were styled, had their hair, make-up and nails groomed, and were put to bed in their separate hotel rooms. SHOWstudio viewers logged on through the night as the models slumbered.

Chris Sutton
Designer Chris Sutton's 'F**K YOU F**K ME' is the latest film in our pioneering 'Punk' series. Our contributors were tasked with creating a one-off garment inspired by the DIY spirit of punk, then building a fashion film around it. Sutton's take on the theme is a dark and fragmented fantasy featuring vocals by Marilyn Manson. 'For me punk is sex, fury and no limits', he explains.

Tuhsayoh
SHOWstudio is proud to present its fifth 'Punk: DIY' film competition winner: Central Saint Martins student Tuhsayoh. His film 'Punk Now' is inspired by the idea that punk is dead.
