This is a Late Jurassic (circa 185 million years old) fossil from Germany. Some of the ammonites themselves are preserved, as well as 'negatives' of them left in the rock. The original material of the ammonite shell has been replaced with the mineral iron pyrite, aka fool's gold. — Jewellery Shaun Leane Signature Tusk Collection We have a wide range of beautiful jewellery pieces.
