Fashion illustration from a wide range of SHOWstudio's community of artists, including Unskilled Worker, Jenifer Corker and Carylann Loeppky, now hangs in our beautiful new space at 22D Ebury Street. Alongside these unique works of art sit a selection of films exploring the processes and histories behind the medium of fashion illustration, as well as the process film from our high fashion life-drawing class '#StyleShootDraw'. Plus, an new Exhibition Walkthrough with Gallery Manager Bex Cassie, immortalises the show in a digital format and is available to watch now! A selection of SHOWstudio contributors have chosen their favourite fashion illustration for our Instagram - come by and choose yours! — New — New Space Nick Knight and Beats by Dre 'New Space', Nick Knight's latest fashion film in collaboration with Beats by Dre has launched on SHOWstudio! The film uses an an amalgamation of animation, image, art and aerial performance to comment on our world's multi-faceted and multi-sensory influences and experiences. Set to a unique track by NOLIFE, rapper Tino Kamal, model Demi Hannah Scott and aerialist Sasha Krohn star in the film, epitomising the current wave of individualism in new media. Immerse yourself in the new dimension created by Knight and pioneered through the manipulation of new technologies such as 3D scanning. — Archive — Unseen McQueen Nick Knight, Alexander McQueen, Michael Clark and more Alexander McQueen's collaborative relationships formed much of his rich and varied career up until his death in 2010. In addition to his long and fruitful bond with Nick Knight, McQueen's collaborations with names such as Michelle Olley, Judith Watt, Katy England and Michael Clark inspired his work and led him to become one of the most iconic designers of the 20th century. Explore interviews with a number of these collaborators as well as hidden gems of previously unseen footage from Nick Knight's archive in 'Unseen McQueen'.

— New Space Nick Knight and Beats by Dre Nick Knight's latest fashion film, in collaboration with Beats by Dre, has now launched on SHOWstudio! Entitled 'New Space', the film uses an an amalgamation of animation, image, art and aerial performance to comment on our world's multi-faceted and multi-sensory influences and experiences. Set to a unique track by NOLIFE, the film features rapper Tino Kamal, model Demi Hannah Scott and aerialist Sasha Krohn, all of which epitomise the current wave of individualism in new media. 'Our society has changed both in terms of technology and how we interact with it, giving us the ability to experience life on many different levels and in many dimensions. Working with Beats allowed me to create a film to really express this vision of the world we now live in with all its multi-sensory was well as multi-cultural influences,' says Knight.  Explore the new dimension created by Knight and pioneered through the manipulation of new technologies such as 3D scanning. — Live Panel Discussions for Haute Couture S/S 17 Join us for our latest round of Live Panel Discussions as we explore Haute Couture S/S 17. Revisit on-demand footage from the debate held yesterday in which our panel, including journalist Hilary Alexander and curator Shonagh Marshall, dissected Maria Grazia Chiuri's first couture collection for Christian Dior. Still to come this week, we'll be looking at the off-schedule show from Vetements, discussing the placement of the show alongside the couture schedule. We'll also be examining the offering from Valentino as the house's creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli continues without his former partner in crime, Grazia Chiuri. Keep up to date with the couture offerings for S/S 17 - tune in to join the debate! — From the Archive — Stephen Doherty's Couture Stephen Doherty In 2014, we invited artist Stephen Doherty to create a live mural on our studio wall at Motcomb Street. Doherty completed his artwork between 5 July and 9 July 2014, depicting key Paris A/W 14 Haute Couture looks from houses such as Chanel, Dior and Maison Margiela, continuing even while our signature Live Panel Discussions were streaming! Doherty's residence was pivotal in celebrating Nick Knight and SHOWstudio's championing of the medium of fashion illustration and resulted in a unique work of art. Watch the making of the mural from start to finish in an edited process film displaying fashion illustration in action! — Fashion Illustration — Suzy Platt is our Haute Couture S/S 17 fashion illustrator! Suzy Platt Each season, SHOWstudio invites an artist to illustrate the looks from the current collections. For Haute Couture S/S 17, New Zealand artist Suzy Platt is rendering a selection of catwalk looks into her signature artworks featuring large-eyed girls and sultry femme fatales. Revisit our latest series of debates from the Paris shows including Balenciaga, Yohji Yamamoto and Walter Van Beirendonck, guest chaired by both Fedorova and Finn Mactaggart. Industry experts such as creative consultant Mimma Viglezio, writer Dino Bonacic and fashion historian Nathalie Khan joined us to discuss key looks from the season. A selection of fashion students from institutions including University for the Creative Arts and London College of Fashion made up our panel on Yohji Yamamoto's A/W 17 offering. Knight and Valletta discuss the impact these shots had on Luchford's career. 'I really didn't realise that this particular campaign would change his career. The duo discuss Yamamoto's first Paris shows, his burgeoning interest in clothing and his A/W 11 collection inspired, in Yamamoto's words, by the anger and rebellion of the young. Revisit this interview in light of Yamamoto's most recent A/W 17 offering in Paris in conjunction with our Live Panel Discussion which featured a selection of fashion students from colleges including University for the Creative Arts and London College of Fashion. — From the Archive — Forget-Me-Not Peter Saville and Julie Verhoeven In 2002, Peter Saville and Julie Verhoeven collaborated to create 'Forget-Me-Not'. Inspired by innocent Toile de Jouy - but offset with Japanese rope suspension bondage - 'Forget-Me-Not' is an intricate, interactive 'wallpaper for the computer' which invites the viewer to 'stroke' the imagery to access deeper, darker layers. The interactive counters the notion of passive consumption of pornography, demanding interaction for stimulation. — Our new exhibition 'Drawing From The Archive' opened last night! Jenifer Corker, Unskilled Worker, Carylann Loeppky and more Last night, our new space at 22D Ebury Street opened its doors to friends and family to introduce our latest exhibition, 'Drawing From The Archive'. Continuing Nick Knight's championing of fashion illustration, this exhibition surveys SHOWstudio's 17-year archive, showcasing artworks that challenge conventional understandings of the medium. Animations, film and footage from live broadcasts are displayed alongside original pieces by a selection of SHOWstudio's community of over fifty artists, including the likes of Jenifer Corker, Unskilled Worker and Carylann Loeppky. Come by and explore the exhibition and our new space! Open from 10:00am-6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
