COLLECTIONS: NEW YORK FASHION WEEK S/S 2011
#########
As New York fashion week enters the final hurdle, packing the likes of Proenza Schouler, Oscar De La Renta and Calvin Klein into twenty-four hectic hours, our thoughts have turned to preparations for a rammed London Fashion Week, kicking off this Friday. Joining our roving backstage reporter make-up artist Val Garland is Susanna Lau a.k.a. star blogger Susie Bubble, sending images and text live to the SHOWstudio.com blog throughout the week's proceedings. With young guns such as Christopher Kane, Louise Goldin and Marios Schwab joined by heavyweight Brit Brand Burberry Prorsum and the welcome return of Giles, our breath is baited for more of S/S 2011.

Visit Collections for live reports and Chris Moore's image uploads hot from the catwalks, and our BLOG for a hefty dose of Spring flirtation.

THE FASHION BODY
#########
Our breakneck trip around the human body takes a break for the duration of the S/S 2011 collections - offering viewers the chance to recap, review and reexamine these myriad views of the human form divine by some of fashion's greatest names. From head - courtesy of Sam McKnight and Stephen Jones - to Rick Owen's left foot, via Gareth Pugh's shoulders, Nick Knight's hand and the eyes of Lady Gaga and Tim Walker, our latest film season is already an unforgettable collection of video and essays exploring a unique fusion of fashion and the human body.

Still to come: films from the likes of Steven Klein, Simon Foxton and the 'The Baron of Botox', fashion's favourite dermatologist Dr Brandt, when the second half of the fashion body launches on 11 October 2010. [more]

200 PORTRAITS
#########
Celebrating i-D's 30th anniversary with a shoot that captured no less than 200 portraits of the creatives that make today's generation what is, has been, and indeed will be, Nick Knight's tribute to cultural history transcends the pages of i-D magazine and comes into living form in a selection of video portraits captured exclusively on set. This week sees the launch of Day Six of sitters, featuring the likes of London-based designers such as Marios Schwab, Michael Van Der Ham and J.W. Anderson, our very own Alex Fury, Fashion Director at SHOWstudio.com and model sensation Jethro Cave.

Each Wednesday at 15:00 BST, SHOWstudio.com will launch a new selection of video portraits captured on a specific date, the series as a whole documenting not only this ground-breaking live shoot but a slice of twenty-first century popular culture. [more]

BARBIE BLOG
#########
It looks like Barbie has arrived at SHOWstudio.com just in time. Last week she was rushed off her feet with Fashion's Night Out, designer meetings and greeting a swarm of the city's favourite fashionistas, but things are only going to get harder as London Fashion Week creeps around the corner! Barbie is in for a whirlwind ride, organising invites, chasing PRs, and of course attending the all-important shows in the even-more-important outfits. Watch out for her blogs - and her custom Gareth Pugh creation - in the coming week. [more]

IN FASHION, ANNA DELLO RUSSO - LIVE
#########
The next stellar fashion name interviewed live as part of our In Fashion series is Anna Dello Russo, Creative Consultant and Editor at Large of Japanese Vogue, and a front-row fixture on the fashion circuit. Baptised as a 'fashion maniac' by Helmut Newton, Dello Russo (and her world-renowned seventy piece fashion week wardrobe) is in town to digest the latest offerings from London's leaders, and takes time out from her busy show schedule to sit down with Fashion Director Alexander Fury at 9.15 BST on Monday 20 September for our latest live and unedited interview broadcast.

GAGA, 2010
#########
There are two names on everybody's lips as of late. One is the award-winning musician Lady Gaga - the other is New York based artist and illustrator Andrew Yang. Since the former needs little introduction - with eight VMAs to her name to date -- we'd like to focus on the latter, whose 'Kouklitas' are taking both New York and London Fashion Weeks by storm. Taken from the Greek word for doll, the 'Kouklitas' are Yang's most recent collection of high-fashion, couture sewn dolls. Created especially for our current exhibition In Wolves Clothing: Re-imagining the Doll, Yang meticulously hand embroidered, darned and painted this pint-sized tribute of one of the world's biggest stars in a precise replica of a key look from Alexander McQueen's S/S 2010 collection, and her own Bad Romance video. FASHION PANOPTICON - PREEN
#########
The London label Preen is firmly established as a highlight of the New York collections - not least for S/S 2011. Back in 2004 we were afforded a rare glimpse behind the scenes and into the studio of design duo Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi as part of our 'Fashion Panopticon' series, delving into their working process on the eve of their S/S 2005 show. Alongside 360-degree imagery capturing every nook and cranny of the space sits but a short interview explaining why the particular building was chosen to cultivate their 'chaotic creativity'. [more]
