| As New York fashion week enters the final hurdle, packing the likes of Proenza Schouler, Oscar De La Renta and Calvin Klein into twenty-four hectic hours, our thoughts have turned to preparations for a rammed London Fashion Week, kicking off this Friday. Joining our roving backstage reporter make-up artist Val Garland is Susanna Lau a.k.a. star blogger Susie Bubble, sending images and text live to the SHOWstudio.com blog throughout the week's proceedings.  There are two names on everybody's lips as of late. One is the award-winning musician Lady Gaga - the other is New York based artist and illustrator Andrew Yang. Since the former needs little introduction - with eight VMAs to her name to date -- we'd like to focus on the latter, whose 'Kouklitas' are taking both New York and London Fashion Weeks by storm. Taken from the Greek word for doll, the 'Kouklitas' are Yang's most recent collection of high-fashion, couture sewn dolls. Created especially for our current exhibition In Wolves Clothing: Re-imagining the Doll, Yang meticulously hand embroidered, darned and painted this pint-sized tribute of one of the world's biggest stars in a precise replica of a key look from Alexander McQueen's S/S 2010 collection, and her own Bad Romance video.
