200 PORTRAITS
#########
During his landmark 'Then Now Next' shoot for the 30th anniversary edition of i-D magazine last December, Nick Knight simultaneously captured no less than 200 video portraits to record each and every sitter. This week we launch the portraits recorded on day five - or rather, the portrait, as on this date Nick Knight's lens was solely focused on Lady Gaga, pop sensation, fashion icon and i-D cover star for a new millennium.

Each Wednesday at 15:00 BST, SHOWstudio.com will launch a new selection of video portraits captured on a specific date, the series as a whole documenting not only this ground-breaking live shoot but a slice of twenty-first century popular culture. [more]

Our latest exhibition, In Wolves Clothing: Re-imagining the Doll, opens to the public this Thursday, with pieces by Nick Knight, Viktor and Rolf, Peter Jensen, Michael Baumgarten, Marina Bychkova, Jake and Dinos Chapman, Lone Siggurdsson, Claudette Schreuders, Andrew Yang and our very own intern, Barbie. In tandem with the physical exhibition, SHOWStudio.com will broadcast performances from the LiveStudio in Bruton Place by Wendy Bevan, Rubbish Finger Puppets and others, and objects made during the LiveStudio will then be displayed in the Shop.

In Wolves Clothing: Re-imagining the Doll launches tonight with an opening event as part of the London leg of Vogue Fashion's Night Out. [more]

THE FASHION BODY
#########
Our Fashion Body takes a break during fashion month until mid-October, but for now we end on a high note, with a flurry of films from some of fashion's stellar names. On Monday, hairstylist Sam McKnight provided us with some fancy follicles in his cinematic and indeed glow-in-the-dark vision of the hair, today Liberty Ross provides a short sharp shock of a fashion film chronicling the right ribs, and on Friday Dr Noki twists the knee into something as sinister and unsettling as his trademark catwalk creations. Our essays come from Rebecca Suharwardi Austin, addressing the bodies of the style-makers beside the catwalk, and Dean Mayo Davies, whose essay launches tomorrow and examines the taste-making and gender-bending creations of Riccardo Tisci. BARBIE BLOG
#########
You may have seen Barbie fly to the moon, run for president and even moonlight as a waitress, but her latest role is a little closer to home: welcome to the team our new intern, Video Barbie. Her jobs will include everything from the daily coffee-run to covering the shows for us over London Fashion Week. Having only been on the job for three days now, Barbie will be plunged in at the deep end as she films Fashion's Night Out this evening for the opening of our new exhibition, In Wolves Clothing.

J-WALK
#########
New York kicks off the catwalk circus of S/S 2011 - and no-one works a catwalk better than J. Alexander, Gaultier model turned runway coach extraordinaire to the likes of Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks. Our archive film captures Alexander's walk in abstract motion - think of it as a dot-to-dot tutorial, directed by Nick Knight and animated by Dominic Wright and the perfect thing to get you in the spirit for the S/S 2011 Fashion Month. Fab-u-lous. [more]
