— Mad About The Boy
Lou Stoppard, Mark Leckey, Jason Evans, Nasir Mazhar and Charlie Porter
Running from 8 January to 2 April 2016, 'Mad About The Boy' was SHOWstudio editor Lou Stoppard's debut exhibition. Held at the Fashion Space Gallery, the show explored fashion's obsession with youth, focusing on the way ideas of the teen boy are constructed through specific collections and fashion images. It included work by Raf Simons, Meadham Kirchoff, Glen Luchford, J.W Anderson, Mark Leckey, Nick Knight and more. In our new series, take a tour of Stoppard's exhibition with imagery of all the objects in situ, peruse the essays from the exhibition catalogue and listen to the sound installation that filled the gallery. Plus watch two conversations; Turner prize winning artist Mark Leckey and photographer Jason Evans chat to Lou Stoppard about Leckey's landmark art film 'Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore', which featured in the show, and journalist Charlie Porter and designer Nasir Mazhar discuss the evolution of Mazhar's brand.
