Editor Lou Stoppard interviewed the creative director on 25 April 2015 to discuss ambition in fashion, the politics of Instagram and his appointment as head of Balmain aged just 25. Grab them before they go! — From the Archive — Floriental Nick Knight and Comme des Garcons What does a flower with no scent smell like? Comme des Garçons answer with their fragrance, Floriental. To celebrate the fragrance's 2015 launch, the brand tapped long-time flower lover Nick Knight to create a film exploring this re-imagination. Based on the odourless cistus flower, the fragrance has no definitive notes, resulting in a blend of sandalwood, pink pepper and plum liqueur. Knight's film reflects this untraditional disruption in the form of a flower breaking down and disappearing into nothingness.
