Nick Knight, Lindsey Wixson and GARAGE Magazine In 'Whaam!', Nick Knight reimagines Roy Lichtenstein's most popular body of work, the war and romance paintings, to produce a comic strip for the digital age. Bringing the Pop master's aesthetic up to date, the strip depicts a beautifully-styled Lindsey Wixson discovering her partner has been unfaithful via her Facebook page. Infamous gossip blogger Perez Hilton provides captions. Watch the uncut footage from the June 2012 shoot for GARAGE Magazine to see Knight in action. — From the Archive — Unseen McQueen Nick Knight Since the mid eighties, Nick Knight has filmed all of his photoshoots. To celebrate the opening of 'Savage Beauty' at the V&A, SHOWstudio unearthed unseen video of some of his celebrated sessions with the late Alexander McQueen. Choreographed by Michael Clark and featuring McQueen's dance inspired S/S 04 'Deliverance' collection, the 'Blade of Light' image has become one of Knight's most recognised works. Footage of the team at work is available to see in our 'Unseen McQueen' series, alongside the making of a variety of McQueen and Knight's collaborations. — From the Archive — In Fashion Tim Walker On 3 June 2009, in one of SHOWstudio's first 'In Fashion' interviews, leading British photographer Tim Walker talked with former SHOWstudio editor Penny Martin about his life in fashion. Edited from over an hour of footage, this short film of Walker sheds light on the early influences on his career and his hopes for his photographic legacy. — Exhibition — Nick Knight: Image Nick Knight Nick Knight's first solo exhibition at the Daelim Museum in Seoul, Korea opened to the public earlier this month. Featuring over 100 images and installations by Knight, the exhibition brings together some of his earliest works, from the 'Skinheads' series right through to iconic images such as 'British Birds'. To celebrate the exhibition launch, a comprehensive gallery of the exhibition is available to view on SHOWstudio, as well as never-before-seen footage from Knight's 1997 shoot with Simon Foxton, 'War'. Be sure not to miss this unprecedented collection of Nick Knight images. — From the Archive — Alice's Adventures Alice Hawkins Photographer Alice Hawkins has been chronicling her artistic process since the age of 15, relying on her journals to note down interesting characters and ideas for the future. Explore scans taken from her personal creative diaries, offering an insight into the photographic process before the predominance of laptops or smartphones. The pages feature everything from travel Polaroids to written notes giving detailed documentation of Hawkins' methods. — From the Archive — In Fashion Glen Luchford In 2015, Greg Luchford spoke to Lou Stoppard as part of our 'In Fashion' series. In this in-depth video interview, the photographer expressed his opinions on the changing face of fashion. 'It was a very small, almost family-run industry and then in the nineties that changed, everything kind of exploded,' says Luchford on the evolution of retail.
