Nick Knight and Rei Kawakubo question traditional notions of floral beauty

In 2015, Comme des Garçons asked Nick Knight to create a film for the launch of their scent 'Floriental'. In typical Kawakubo fashion, the collaboration explores the idea of disrupting the stereotype of a floral fragrance. Based on the scentless cistus flower, the film echoes the spirit of the perfume, showing a flower break apart, evolve and disappear. Revisit 'Floriential' now!

'Power of Witches' explores SHOWstudio's longstanding commitment to making the image creating process transparent. Based around a shoot commissioned for the Autumn 2004 issue of AnOther Magazine, styled by Alister Mackie, the project features Comme des Garçons' Witches collection from A/W 04. Showcasing every aspect of image creation including images from the shoot, Nick Knight's photo diary and captures of digital retouching stages, the project documents Knight and Rei Kawakubo's exciting and unique process.
