— New Happiness · Love Chaos: Alyx S/S 17 Nick Knight, Matthew Williams, Demi Scott, Ysaunny Brito and Jeppe Laursen In 'New Happiness · Love Chaos', Nick Knight continues his collaboration with Matthew Williams' LVMH nominated label Alyx. Knight's latest fashion film, in collaboration with SSENSE, focuses on a lone motorbike, highlighting the freedom and clarity one finds when driving alone. Reflective 3M material is utilised throughout, in flashes of cityscapes and covering a nude Demi Scott - a nod to Man Ray's Solarisation technique. Snapshots of model Ysaunny Brito straddling a bike, clad in the S/S 17 collection, complete the fashion film set to a custom soundtrack by Jeppe Laursen. — Fashion Film — Fashion Film Awards in collaboration with QIC Nick Knight, Maksim Bashkaev and Dilyara Minrakhmanova Last October, Nick Knight announced the brief for SHOWstudio's first ever fashion film award. Established in collaboration with QIC Global Real Estate, the award was the latest step in Knight's commitment to developing the medium. Maksim Bashkaev was the winner, having been judged by Nick Knight and QIC's Director of Investment Management Stuart Miller, along with a panel of respected industry figures including designer Gareth Pugh, filmmaker Ruth Hogben, icon Daphne Guinness and artistic director of DIESEL and founder of Nicopanda Nicola Formichetti. The winning film 'Outlaw' and Dilyara Minrakhmanova and Bashkaev's resultant film can now be viewed on SHOWstudio alongside the Russian filmmkaer's acceptance speech. In addition, the finalist films and footage of the panel discussion on the night are available to view. — Fashion Film — Fashion Film Submissions Nick Knight Nick Knight invites aspiring fashion filmmakers to submit their work to SHOWstudio! As part of SHOWstudio's commitment to championing fashion film and the possibilities of showing clothing in movement, Knight is offering filmmakers from across the globe the chance to debut their work . A selection of submissions from locations as varied as Turkey, South Africa and Spain feature on SHOWstudio, having impressed or inspired Knight.
